To identify greenfield (power and mine) project business needs, analyse and interpret existing processes and documentation systems and recommend and implement solutions (new processes, documentation, process maps where required) for improvement in efficiency, productivity and commercial matters to ensure achievement of company business objectives.

Surveyor

To coordinate and monitor the provision of survey services for all site activities in a new green field coal mine and power project through effective implementation of survey systems and procedures in accordance with the company’s objectives and statutory compliance and reporting requirements. Other duties but may vary include Power Plant, Pit/Dump Limits, marking/surveying/archiving drilled holes, volume of material removed, pegging out required areas, measure material blasted, contribution to short and medium term mine planning activities, daily/weekly meetings with the mining contractor etc., plans accurately updated and maintained, mine and power plant survey configuration etc. Applicant should hold a Degree in Survey or related field with a minimum of 10 years’ post qualification experience in a mining industry and have understanding and use of survey equipment/ software, proficiency in Microsoft office, understanding of applicable Botswana legislations.
