Our African Way

Being a corporate native of the emerging economic power of the Indian sub-continent, Jindal Steel and Power (JSP), came to the realisation that its wide and inherent experience in the development of its home market can assist with stimulating a similar rise in Africa.

The continent shares many similarities and shared history with India, which provides an unprecedented opportunity for both rising economic giants to march together into the future, for the mutual economic and social benefit of their respective peoples.

Jindal Africa continues working energetically to embed and expand its presence in Africa to the benefit of its holding group and its local stakeholders.

Jindal Africa is a fast-growing and significant part of Indian JSP, which in turn is part of the diversified O.P. Jindal Group, which is worth about US$12 billion across the globe.

The industrial conglomerate is a leading global player in the steel, power, mining, coal-to-liquid, oil and gas, as well as infrastructure sectors, employing more than 50 000 people around the world, thus Jindal Africa is a natural fit within the business structures of all the African countries.

Our African operations span through South Africa, Mozambique, Botswana, and Namibia, and our strategy has shown significant results in improving the quality of life for the people, while nurturing the environment that has produced good quality coal, copper, iron ore and limestone.

Parshant Goyal

Mr. Parshant Goyal has a distinguished career in the mining industry, spanning over three decades. He embarked on his journey in the field of mining in 1993, after completing his bachelor’s degree in 1992. From 2000 – 2008, Mr. Parshant spent his time building a successful career in the Mining Industry working as Superintendent of Mines (E5, MCL) at Mahanadi Coal Fields Limited and later joining Jindal Group in Odisha as Deputy General Manager (DGM).
