Mr. Naveen Jindal is a renowned Indian industrialist, philanthropist, and three-term Member of Parliament, driven by the belief that business must serve the nation. As the Chairman of Jindal Steel, one of India’s foremost conglomerates in steel, mining, and infrastructure, he has led the charge in building world-class capabilities to make India self-reliant and globally competitive. Under his leadership, Jindal Steel has also expanded its presence internationally, including operations across Africa.

A true patriot, Mr. Jindal is the President of the Flag Foundation of India. He started a campaign to democratise the Tricolour when he was 22 years old and his decade-long legal struggle resulted in a historic Supreme Court judgment allowing every Indian to display the Indian Flag with pride on all days of the year.

Mr. Jindal is also the Founding Chancellor of O.P. Jindal Global University (JGU), ranked as India’s No. 1 private university by the QS World University Rankings 2023. His commitment to higher education and global leadership development is shaping the future of India’s youth.

He serves as the President of the Indian Steel Association (ISA), the apex body of the steel industry, where he champions the collective interests of the sector and supports sustainable growth and innovation.

He is married to Ms. Shallu Jindal, a celebrated Kuchipudi dancer and Chairperson of the Jindal Foundation, which spearheads social development initiatives across India. They are proud parents to Venkatesh and Yashasvini, both Yale University graduates, with Venkatesh also holding an MBA from Harvard Business School.
