His Excellency, President of Republic of Mozambique, Mr. Filipe Jacinto Nyusi along with few members of his cabinet visited Jindal Chirodzi coal mine on May 26, 2016. Mozambique coal miners’ power station projects making ‘visible progress’
One of the international companies that has developed coal mines in Mozambique’s Tete province, India’s Jindal Africa, a subsidiary of Jindal Steel & Power, has advertised in the Maputo newspaper Notícias for a consultant to serve as a project manager for its planned power plant at its Chirodzi coal mine.

Jindal Steel and Power Limited commissions 1.4 MTPA Rebar Mill in Sohar, Oman
Jindal Steel and Power Limited (JSPL) has commissioned a 1.4 million tonne per annum (mtpa) rebar mill at Sohar, Oman. The mill, that came up with an investment of $190 million is the largest in Gulf and African region. Along with the existing 2 mtpa steel melting shop, it makes JSPL's Jindal Shadeed the largest integrated steelmaker in Oman.
