This Indian Ocean island boasts a treasure chest of limestone, providing Jindal Africa with access to more than 1-billion tonnes containing steel-grade deposits. Current plans include establishing a cement plant in the country, while also exporting the raw material to its steel plants in India that have a requirement of about 2-million tonnes a year.

Future plans involve developing a port allied to the cement plant, while also investigating the prospects of mining precious stones on this mineral-rich island.
